Public Service Commission should know me by name.

Just two months after my first complaint with the PSC, I'm at war again. Not with Alderson, this time: The power company.

So they use this pathetic-scam-looking 3rd party website that charges arm+leg for their online bill pay. I've used it afew times, just fine. Anyway, allegedly, in August 2011, this scam-site sent my payment, twice, within seconds of each other.

My bank noticed, and rejected the duplicate payment. No overdrafts, no returned check fees. Life goes on.

Now it's end of September. My power is set to be turned off. Why? Past due balance. Monpower credited my account for both payments. (>_<) Of course, thanks to my banks crafty oversight and passion for not wanting to overdraft me, they only got one of my duplicate payments.

I get all these fees and surcharges for "Returned Check" plus the other payment amount due on my new bill, yesterday. It must be paid, no extensions because it's so past due. Won't "put it back" into the amount owed. No sir. Pay it by October 3rd or else. The new charges are due October 13th.

Dilemma is - I don't get paid until a week after the 3rd. Not exactly Scrooge Mcduck right now. So I reckoned I'd just call to speak with the fine lady at Monpower. Make their mistake corrected.

Bitch.

She pretty much just says I'm up shit creek. Hate it for me. Pay or die. Not her problem.

Instead of doing what most would do, and just borrow or loan and moan about it - I called the Public Service Commission :D  They made Alderson start reading my newly installed water meter, instead of guesstimating (%$%#$%SIN FOR A BILL%#$%). So maybe they'll make Monpower play nice and admit their error, and credit my account. ^_^

Stay tuned.
